Some Poker Sites Are Available to U.S.A. Players

It doesn’t surprise us that there are several online poker sites that are allowing USA players into their rooms again. Since we’re also poker enthusiasts, we decided to try a few of them out and so far our favorite site to play on is America’s Poker room. This is the only US friendly online poker site that we play at and endorse. It’s easy to fund your online poker and withdrawals are just as easy. They even have an ATM card that you can request to make it extremely easy to withdraw your winnings.

The player base is roughly 3000 players online at a time, this is growing on a daily basis. We expect these numbers to increase to over 10,000 by the end of the year. Good news for players as more players = higher tournament prizes!

If you decide to play online poker and utilize America’s Cardroom or other online poker rooms, we highly recommend you withdraw your winnings on a regular basis and limit your risk. There’s still a risk of these sites being shutdown by the US government. With that in mind, we ourselves play online and feel fairly confident that the risk to our losses is worth the reward of playing again.

Official! It’s now illegal to pay online poker in the United States!

Today, the CEOs of the three remaining powerhouse poker sites in the United States were arrested. USA players can no longer play online poker from a USA Internet connection. Fulltilt poker, Pokerstars.com and Absolute Poker has temporarily shutdown their poker operations to real money players.

Stay tuned as this is the second major blow to online poker since the initial pullouts by Bodog and Party Poker a few years back. I never really understood why only those companies were effected and not Fulltilt or Pokerstars. Today makes it a bit more fair as they too join the ranks of being illegal.

We will continue to update you as more news is expected in regards to this important move against online poker players in the United States.
